A young clerk of district superintendent of education office ,Giridih was caught taking bribe from a school teacher on his salary releasing and arrested by the state vigilance bureau here on Wednesday .This is the first time a office clerk of DSE office identified as Manoj Verma has been arrested while taking bribe of Rs 10,000 from a school teacher of Khutta Utkramit middle school Rakesh Kumar ,sources said
According to reports a office clerk of DSE office ,Giridih Manoj Verma recently held up the salaries of one school teacher namely Rakesh Kumar for last six month and Manoj Verma asked to be paid Rs 10 thousand for his release .But school teacher later scaled down his demand to Rs 10,000 but by then the Teacher had written to the state vigilance bureau and trap had been laid.
According to information on Wednesday afternoon as soon as a teacher handed over Rs 10,000 to the clerk ,a vigilance bureau team led by DY SP,Vinod Rawani ,inspector Kanahiya Prasad Sub inspector Shyam Babu Singh Indus Bhusan and others raided his office and recovered the cash along with the papers of the due salaries, said sources .
