PNS

All judicial work procedures in the civil courts Daltonganj Palamu have been ‘suspended’ for two days beginning July 21 following one employee of this court testing positive for Covid 19.

Principal district & sessions judge (PDJ) Palamu Pradip Kumar Choubey said, “Work procedures in the civil courts have been suspended. Our fleet of judicial officers and battery of district judges are now to work from home and only urgent works will be taken up.”

The PDJ said, “An intimation to this effect that an employee of grade three has tested positive for Covid 19 has been sent to Jharkhand High Court Ranchi and hence work procedures stand suspended to which the Hon’ble High Court has given its accord for suspension.”

Choubey said health officials will sanitize and disinfect ( read fog) the entire premises, chambers, offices and other spaces like toilets etc in these two suspended days of the civil courts.

The Covid 19 positive has been isolated by health officials and is in good health.

Health officials said contact tracing is on as to with whom this employee was in contact or in touch with as all those will be taken down for a mandatory test for Covid 19.

Court sources said one of the district judges in whose office this employee was attached to is under home quarantine and there is no reason to panic.

Sources said about some weeks ago a similar two day suspension of work procedures was done in the civil courts Latehar for the reason that one Covid 19 positive police man had roamed around the civil courts Latehar.
