Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Vinay Kumar Chaubey on Wednesday during a review meeting in Ranchi instructed the Block Development Officers (BDO) to send more and more proposals for wells as there are fair chances of misappropriation of funds in the revival of ponds and leveling of land. Chaubey was holding a review meeting on the development of executed programmes.

Chaubey also asked the BDOs to get proper knowledge of computers and do not get dependent on their operators and supervisors. He also expressed his displeasure over pending of large number of caste certificate petitions.  He also directed to close those programmes after a review which could not be started in the last one year. He also asked the DDC to identify such schemes till October 23 and gave him a target of close 10,000 schemes till October 31.

The DC also directed to ensure provide homes to the Indira Awas Yojana beneficiaries according to the BPl waiting list as it is not being alloted according to the waiting list.  He also asked the BDOs to visit their blocks and prepare a report after inspection.
