Chamber demands more trains in festive season

PNS

Federation of Jharkhand Chambers and Commerce (FJCCI) on Friday wrote a letter to Union Minister of Railway, Piyush Goyal to start more passenger trains from the State during the upcoming festive season.

The traders' body requested through the letter that Ranchi-Mumbai (Hatia-LTT) Express, Ranchi-Pune( Hatia- Pune) Express, Ranchi – Kolkata (Kriya Yoga) Express, Ranchi-Bangluru (Hatia-Yashwantpur) Express and Deoghar- Maduadih and Dhanbad Alleppi Express to be started as early as possible. Ranchi New Delhi Rajdhani Express should be run daily.

The traders body has expressed displeasure over the decision  of the Railway in which it has given only two special trains from the State out of a total 80 trains that were started on September 12.

The two trains are Dhanbad – Firozpur (Ganga- Satluj) Express and Agartala Deoghar Express.  FJCCI General Secretary Dhiraj Taneja said that they were hoping that the Railway would start trains services similar to before the lockdown situation but it did not happen so that the people of the State get disappointed by it. "

Festival season is near due to which a large number of passengers traveled from the State to other states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and others.

But on the one hand the flights are available in limited numbers and bus services are also stopped. The people of the State are facing huge problems to go from one place to other" said Taneja.
