Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K Ravikumar has directed Dhanbad district authorities to start verification of voters in polling booths with low voting percentage in different assembly segments of the district.
Kumar was chairing a review meeting at Dhanbad on Friday late evening in view of the forthcoming Panchayat elections likely to be held in December. The meeting was attended by deputy commissioner Sandeep Singh and other concerned officials in Dhanbad.
The CEO expressed concerned over low poll percentage at select booths and directed for physical verification of voters of those booths.
