Now CCTVs will be installed for tourists in Betla National Park. The 12 CCTVs will be installed at entry exit gate, tourists canteen, tourists ticket counter and Betla range office.
Sources said this fleet of CCTVs in Betla is to ensure that no tourist is made to suffer or face any raw deal by the tiger reserve personnel. CCTV in tourists canteen will help PTR officials to oversee the hospitality and the quality of food served to the tourists.
Apart from this fleet of CCTVs in Betla the PTR officials will now have sophisticated gadgets like night vision binoculars etc.
The stock of two tranquilizer guns has been further replenished by one more tranquilizer gun which is highly sophisticated and is driven by carbon dioxide.
DFO Core Anil K Mishra has confirmed the use of CCTVs night vision and binocular in National Park Betla saying the latest tranquilizer gun is a highly delicate one for which a government vet doctor is imparting training to personnel of PTR.
Dose matters most in the use of tranquilizing gun which is used to tame and contain any rogue wild life.
Dose is decided on the basis of hour of sedation in which the rogue wild life is to be kept side by side its revival hour too is decided.
However sources said there has come no episode in the past 20 years where tranquilising gun has ever been used.
Sources reminded there was a rogue elephant here which had killed more than 33 people in a span of 30 months which was gunned down after due and legitimate permission.
Sources said this elephant had one and a half tusk which many thought this to be the miracle of lord Ganesh and out of religious fervor people used to reach near this rogue one which showing no sympathy lost no time in trampling the unsuspecting visitor of him.
The Pioneer was the first to inform its esteemed readers about three drones to be used in the PTR. DFO Core Mishra said ‘ The matter is still hanging. Two ministry one of Home and the other of civil aviation are to sort it out’.
