A nine-member CBI team from Dhanbad on Monday caught project manager Krishna Mohan Jha and sales officer Chandrasekhar Prasad of CCl, of Swang CCl coal washery, while they were accepting a bribe of `20,000 from a coal DO holder.
The project manager and sales officer have amassed huge property which were kept in various banks and other places, sources said. The raid was conducted by a team led by CBI SP PK Manjhi and inspectors lK Mishra, SK Jha, Rajiv Anand and others.
The DO holder complained about the repeated demand for hefty bribes by the officers for clearing coal stocks within their jurisdiction. The CBI sleuths simultaneously launched the search in office and residence of project manager and sales officer of Swang CCl coal washery within the Kathara area.
