Central Coalfields limited (CCl) on Wednesday announced to open three new Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in its command areas in Bhurkunda, Piparwar and Tandwa. The announcement was made by CCl CMD Gopal Singh on Wednesday in a Press conference.
While emphasising that education remains a top priority among Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities the CMD also announced opening of an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved diploma school in Rajrappa. “We will try our best to ensure that the students taking certificates from the institute get observed in CCl or our other subsidiaries. If we could not observe them we will recommend them at other places,” CMD said.
The CMD informed that the company will give two ambulances in Chatra and latehar districts. “We will hand-over the two ambulances to the DCs of the respective districts,” the CMD said.
He said that CCl was also making efforts to develop its super-speciality hospital. “We want to make it the best medical centre between Kolkata and Delhi,” he said.
He also said that CCl was making efforts to open medical college.
The CMD underscored that the company wished to make drinking water available to every person in State and therefore they would spend huge part of their CSR funds on that front. "It's painful that people don't have access to the fresh drinking water even after more than 50 years of independence. We are committed to make drinking water available to people," he said.
"We will talk to local representatives and will try to find out the places where water availability was poor. Then we will plant hand pumps or other machines to ensure water availability in the areas," he said.
On the occasion the CMD informed that the company would give mass promotion to its employees on November 1 this year "as has been trend in the company". The company had given promotion to more than 3300 employees in November 2012.
