The construction of bypass road has become a dream for the denizens of the district. After 10 years it has not been constructed. The people have to suffer a lot in lack of the bypass road.
Due to ply of several loaded vehicles the roads of the city often gets choked. The denizens of the city have been demanding for the road for long time but the administration and public representatives had always showed passive attitudes and the plan remained neglected.
The matter was taken to high court before some year. The first phase of the work was started with the estimate of 2 crores and 5 lakhs in 2005 from Oyna mod to Gangupara.
It was inaugurated by ex-MlA Sukhdeo Bhagat. It was being done by the fund of Rural Development Department. The implementation of the plan was regulated by REO Company. An S construction was given the construction work. In first phase the progress of the work was satisfactory. The bridges and guard walls were constructed. The bidders were paid for the work done. For giving the fund to land owners the land acquisition department was given responsibility. But during the work the matter was taken to high court due to disagreement between the department and the bidders.
In tenure of two MlAs Sukhdeo Bhagat and Kamal Kishor Bhagat the construction of the road was not completed.
The chairman of Municipal office Pawan Ekka said, “Before I took the charge, the work had been started.
But when I looked into the matter the astonishing facts came into light. The construction had been started without permission and buying of the lands from land owners. It was entangled willingly. Now it would be solved very soon and the construction works will start.”
