PNS

In the wake of Kantatoli flyover construction to be initiated soon, the relocation proposal of the vendors from Khadgarha bus stand to Khelgaon at the temporary shops, including the work of temporary bus terminus arrangement will be presented soon.

Around 200 interstate buses operate from this intersection every day. Over 100 vendors (small and big) are earning their livelihood there through different modes since decades.

After the recent Reece by the traffic police to check the feasibility of the traffic flow covering major routes, the project will be taken up in full-fledged way in a short while.

Municipal Commissioner, Shantanu Kumar Agrahari during a recent meeting with NCPE (Project Management Consultants) representatives has asked the consultancy firm officials to submit the proposal at the earliest, while checking the probability that whether shifting the bus terminus base from the current location at one of the farthest site would be viable or not.

NCPE infrastructure India Pvt. ltd, a firm based at Hyderabad is an urban infrastructure design consultancy agency that has been roped in for detailed planning and development of the temporary bus terminus at Khelgaon as per the convenience of the commuters.

The Municipal Commissioner along with other senior officials while brainstorming on different measures has asked the representatives to submit the complete proposal details to the civic body for further discussion by November 2017.

Meanwhile, the consultancy firm’s representatives have said that the details of the total estimate including the abstract have been given to the Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Company (JUIDCO) officials. Agrahari has instructed the JUIDCO officials to present the report about the status and the work done by far by the consultancy firm to the Department of Urban development, Housing and planning for final approval.

Also, under the supervision of the senior officials, soon the task of widening the Khadgarha Bus terminus roads is also to be taken up soon by the contactors. To ensure road widening project work without any initial hiccups, the detailed project report (DPR) must be submitted covering all the technical and other aspects to the State Urban Development Department accordingly in stimulated time instructed the Municipal Commissioner during the meeting on October 23.
