On New Year’s Day BSl’s CEO, Anutosh Maitra wished everyone a very happy and prosperous 2014. He along with other senior officers visited different units in the township and plant on Wednesday morning and greet the employees.
On his visit to the Bokaro General Hospital, Maitra met the doctors and staff of the hospital and exchanged greetings. He also paid a visit to the Town Services department and shook hands with the employees. While interacting with some employees in the plant, he expressed confidence that the New Year will herald a new beginning and will bring many more challenges, opportunities and success for the people and the plant. The employees also enthusiastically greeted Maitra and other senior officials on this occasion.
Bokaro Steel Plant is set to complete 50 years of its existence on the 29th of this month. This year particularly assumes more significance owing to this fact and the management is gearing-up to ensure a turnaround for the plant. Notably, several production and dispatch records were made in the second and third quarters of the current fiscal. Special emphasis was also laid on equipment upkeep and reliability during the last year which has started yielding encouraging results.
The completion of repair work of Coke 0ven Batteries # 4 and 5 were significant achievements in 2013. Giant strides were also taken towards construction of the upcoming state-of-the-art new CRM-III complex of the Plant.
