A large-scale safety culture transformation initiative is being undertaken in association with M/s ASK-EHS Engineering & Consultants to further strengthen workplace safety at Bokaro Steel Plant. It started with an introductory workshop held at Human Resource Development Center in which Director-in-Charge of BSL Amarendu Prakash, ED (Projects) R Kushwaha, ED (Works) Atanu Bhowmik, ED (Personnel & Administration) ) Sameer Swarup, CGM (Finance & Accounts) Suresh Rangani, CGM (Security) AK Jha along with other senior officers were present. JK Anand, Director, M/s ASK-EHS and his team members were also present in the workshop.
DIC Prakash administered the security oath to the group present in the workshop and while addressing them, he said that security is the responsibility of every person and BSL needs to give it top priority. Referring to the Safety Culture Transformation Initiative in BSL, he said that to ensure safety at workplace, it is necessary for everyone to bring appropriate changes in work culture and behavior from the point of view of safety. He expressed confidence that with the initiative of Safety Culture Transformation, a new work culture of safety will be developed in the plant. ED Bhowmik also in his address called upon everyone to make this initiative of Safety Culture Transformation a success. It is to be noted that the team of M/s ASK - EHS Engineering & Consultants has laid the foundation stone for a better and sound safety management system in BSL.
