In Bokaro Steel Plant For the first time after modernization the team of SMS-New of BSL has set a new record by making 20 heats in a sequence from a single converter. Director-in-Charge of BSL Amarendu Prakash along with senior colleagues went to SMS-New and congratulated Team SMS-New on this achievement. DIC Prakash exhorted the officers and employees of SMS-New to continue this series of better performance in the times to come. On this occasion, Executive Director (Works) BK Tiwari, Chief General Manager (SMS-New) Arvind Kumar along with other senior officers and employees of SMS-New were present. It is noteworthy that the casting of the first slab was done on January 28 last year with the casters of the modernized SMS-New. Once SMS-New becomes operational, now 100% steel is being produced in BSL through Continuous Casting Route which is more energy efficient.
