A breach caused in the Tenu-Canal by some anti-social elements between Tupkadih and SGP in the wee hours of Sunday was later repaired after the initiation by Bokaro Steel Plant management.
Tenu-Canal is the lifeline of Bokaro and such types of unruly activities had been indulged earlier by some antisocial groups which disrupted water supply in the township and surrounding areas, informed the officials. “BSl has been active in solving the problems by offering a package under its Corporate Social Responsibility and the discussions are still on, such activities may only hamper the settlement of issues”, said a PR official of BSl.
“Although the breach has been repaired but such events need to be avoided for peaceful dialogues in which the police and administration are also expected to play a constructive and proactive role in maintaining a congenial atmosphere”, added the official.
