Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has entered into an MoU with NBCC India Ltd for consultancy and project management services for upcoming infrastructure related projects of BSL Plant, Township Jharkhand Group of Mines & the Collieries Division under BSL initially for a duration of three years . The MoU was signed between the two parties in the presence of Director Incharge Rourkela Steel Plant, additional charge Director Incharge BSL Atanu Bhowmick. Also present on this occasion were Executive Directors of BSL and officials of NBCC India Ltd including CGM (Engineering) Pravin Doiphode, DGM (Engineering) SK Sinha and DGM (Finance).
Under this MoU, NBCC will render project management services for the township area and will undertake repair and maintenance services of the township infrastructure. All day to day civil maintenance jobs in quarters in the township, composite maintenance of newly allotted quarters, civil maintenance related jobs of Non-Residential Buildings in the township, maintenance of roads in the township and other related jobs will now be performed by NBCC. Further, NBCC will also assess critical repair jobs to be done in quarters in the township including the need for demolishing such buildings, if any, which may be deemed to be unfit for residence. With this MoU, it is expected that the core expertise in civil and infrastructural areas of NBCC will help in faster implementation of civil related projects, saving time in appointment of consultants and better quality of work.
