Bokaro Steel Plant (BSl) has bagged the prestigious CII-EXIM Bank Business Excellence Award 2013.
The award was received by Deputy GM (BSl Chennai Office) TS Rajan at a glittering awards ceremony at Bangalore. The coveted award has been conferred on BSl for the first time in recognition of its strong commitment to excel on the journey towards business excellence.
CII and Export- Import Bank of India have, in 1994, jointly established the CII-EXIM Bank Award for Business Excellence, with the aim of enhancing the competitiveness of India Inc. The award is based on the internationally recognised EFQM excellence model.
The panel of assessors for the award had visited BSl during 22- 30 Sepember, 2013. During their visit, the assessors evaluated the Plant’s performance on various parameters and interacted extensively with various groups before submitting their observations.
Notably, SAIl’s Bhilai, Durgapur and Rourkela Steel Plants have also received the award which speaks volumes about SAIl’s commitment to business excellence.
