Bokaro Steel Plant (BSl), a unit of Maharatna SAIl has won a total of 19 awards at the INSSAN Awards Summit-2014, held at the Scope complex in New Delhi on 22 and 23 August. A vibrant team of 21 employees of the Plant did the company proud by winning awards in different categories like technical papers on various themes, case studies, innovative and unique practice, slogan, poem, essay, exhibit and poster contests.
At the summit, BSl was felicitated with the Company Excellence award on promoting creativity through participation. JP Bhagat, DGM (Steel Foundry & Pattern Shop) received the award on behalf of Bokaro Steel. Eminent Suggestors of Corporate India Award was bagged by two groups from HRCF & CO & BPP departments.
The Par Excellence Award for Case Study was given to CRM-3 and HRCF departments. The Excellence Award and the Distinguished Award for Case study was bagged by HRCF department HM (M), DNW & GM (M) departments received the Merit Award for Case Study. The Par Excellence Award for Technical Paper went to EMD department. Award for Innovative Unique Practice went to Steel Foundry and Pattern shop. The Excellence Award for Exhibit Contest went to CO&BPP.
A plethora of slogan, poster, poem and essay awards were won by six employees in different categories. BSl CEO Anutosh Maitra congratulated the winners and hoped that the Plant would benefit from their innovative approach and creativity. Executive Director (Works) A Bandopadhyay and GM (MS) PK Jha also applauded the winners. Notably, the summit saw participation of around 400 delegates from different organisations from all over the country. BSl's performance in the summit this year is the best-ever so far.
