In the highest single-day spike of the year, Bokaro reported 27 positive cases on Thursday; the total count of infected people in the district has now rushed to 91, out of which ten people were recovered and returned to their homes.
“Around 27 new cases were confirmed in a day. All have been shifted to COVID Hospital and contact tracing of all is being done,” informed A K Pathak Civil Surgeon Bokaro.
As the second wave of Coronavirus is spreading very fast across the country, there is a need to take great precautions, he said. “Administration is at work and we are trying to contain the spread. Our focus is to timely address the cases of COVID-19 so that lives could be saved,” added Pathak.
It can be prevented by following the rules related to caution properly. In many places, people are ignoring the rules, due to which the risk of infection increases, he said.
People need to be vigilant about the COVID-19 and follow the guidelines issued by the administration. Must use a face mask and maintain social distancing while you will be out of the home, said the Civil Surgeon.
Expressing concern over the spurt in Coronavirus positive cases, deputy commissioner Bokaro Rajesh Kumar Singh said, everyone needs to be vigilant. He urged that everybody must apply a mask, follow social distance, and wash their hands with soap. The best way is that all of you stay safe in your own homes.
Singh appealed, “Support the administration in making the district free from COVID-19, and follow the government guidelines.”
DC asked the concerned officials to seriously track patients in the home-quarantine. “Strict steps are taken to ensure that patients meet home quarantine guidelines,” Singh said.
