Amidst hue and cry of the parents and Government’s directives, collections of supplementary fees along with tuition fee are still continued by the private schools in Bokaro. Private school managements are not paying any heed on the directive of the State Government and district administrations and collecting re-admission fees in different heads.
“The school managements are harassing the parents and compelling them to pay monthly tuition fee along with others fees on different heads like–Technology Fee, Electricity charges, Building maintenance charges, School Welfare Fund, Activity Fee, Sports Fee including others,” said Punam a guardian of a student of GGPS School.
“Once we parents get united to oppose the school management for collecting additional fees then the management people started harassing our children’s,” she said. “They forced the students to sit without fan in class rooms,” she added.
“We are paying our hard earned money to educate our children but school management is enjoying on it. They drink purified water from ‘Aqua guard’ machine and have left the students to drink water from tank which is not cleaned regularly,” said Sambhu Prasad another parent whose ward is studying at St. Xavier School Bokaro.
Chief Minister Raghuvar Das has already made it clear that no school will be permitted to take fees for re-admission or others except monthly tuition fees in the State. During her recent visit at Bokaro Human Resource Development Minister Neera Yadav said that CM has already directed to adjust the amount in monthly fee and every private school of the state who had taken amount in the name of readmission.
School managements on the other are saying that they did not received any such directive yet and the parents would have to pay the whole amount if they want to continue their children’s education in the schools.
