A decomposed body of a middle–aged woman was recovered on Monday from a secluded place behind the Suyarbharwa forest area. The way in which the woman's body parts were chopped indicates that she was brutally murdered.
“The killers had even tried to disfigure the body by hitting it with stone to make its identification difficult,” said the officer-in charge. “The body is yet to be identified and the body has been sent to Tenughat sub-divisional hospital for autopsy. Personal enmity is evident from the gruesome nature of the killing. We are also not ruling out the possibility that the deceased had illicit relationship, which prompted the murder,” said TN Jha police officer.
Police sources said the body was found around 7 am near the Suyarbharwa forest under the Mayapur panchayat. The woman, aged around 30, was strangled with dupata. Police have not ruled out the possibility of rape before the murder. Plastic gloves were found at the scene, policemen said. No headway could be made till Monday evening. Bokaro Superintendent of police Jitendra Kumar Singh said, “We have sent teams to local villages with the photograph. So far it seems to be murder case. Only after receiving the autopsy report we can say whether she was raped."
