A constable of the Bokaro district police, posted in Sctor-IV Barrack in Bokaro district, allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon, the SP YS Ramesh told The Pioneer on Thursday.
According to reports the constable Sanjay Ekka was posted at the sector-iv barrack for the last few years. He shot himself in the jaw and the bullet went through his head, the police said. He suddenly took out his service weapon and shot himself ,the other constable added .Police are probing if work pressure was one of the reasons which drove the constable to take the extreme step .No suicide was found in the scene , the S.P. Y.S. Ramesh said
The incident occurred at 3am on Thursday ,sanjay Ekka ,who was not in duty at the sector -IV barrack, had gone to a separate place and had shot himself with a rifle at around 3am.
He face was disfigured by the bullet which had pierced through her chin ,nose and forehead ,police added .
Police are inquiring into possible reasons for the constable’s death. No suicide note was found in the scene. He had been belonging TO Mahuatard in latehar District in Jharkhand.
