The State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday claimed that BJP is on the verge of a big victory in the Santhal Paragana area and this time the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) will be wiped out from Santhal Pargana.
Addressing a press meet at Jamtara the State BJP Spokesperson, Pratul Shahdeo criticised that the manner, in which former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Subodh Kant Sahay used words like grabbing collar of the Chief Minister. “People with narrow mindsets, who have reached the culmination of irrationality, were only by luck once in a right but dignified position in despondency of defeat in election they forgotten dignified language,” he added.
Shahdeo asked that how an intelligent person can use such words in relation to the Chief Minister elected by the people of the State. “The Chief Minister is the Chief Minister of the entire State. And the use of such language against him is absolutely unacceptable. People will respond to Congress with the power of votes,” he added.
Criticising Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), the party Spokesperson said that the manner in which the JMM used the tribal indigenous people as a vote bank only, now the public will answer it through ballot.
Lauding the efforts of Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Shahdeo said that Soren family did not work for the betterment of tribals, while Chief Minister, Raghubar Das had developed the area in mission mode and 140 times visited Santhal area during his tenure. “Santhal received a gift of the Medical College, AIIMS. Net of roads were laid, irrigation facilities increased, education system was changed completely, and special schemes were introduced for the primitive tribes. The people of Santhal are now standing with the BJP. The confidence of people of Santhal has increased towards BJP and it will be seen in the final phase of elections,” he added.
“Hemant and his sister in law Sita Soren will have to face defeat. JMM cheated people by saying Santhal as its stronghold. As long as Soren remained in power, he kept the public in confusion only. Soren family only developed his family. Soren must tell how many times he visited Santhal during his tenure of Chief Minister. Hemant is afraid of defeat that is why Hemant is also contesting from Barhet. But, perhaps they do not know that this time the public has come to know the plans of the brother-in-law and the sister- in- law. During his stint in power, these families never thought about the interest of tribal. But yes, they talked long for the interest of tribal, but did not even try to raise their standard of living. They were only planning how to take land from the tribal. We do not think that he went to the people of Santhal while in power. What have they done for the people of Santhal? Soren family has used the tribals only for their own selfishness,” said Shahdeo.
