State BJP unit has welcomed the Union Cabinet decision of increasing Minimum Support price for Rabi crops. State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said that PM Narendra Modi had earlier announced that his government will make available at least 50 per cent profit of their investment. “Today’s decision has been taken in the same direction. Under the decision there is 6 per cent increase in wheat MSP price, which will provide Rs 62,635 crore benefit to the farmers. The MSP of wheat has been raised Rs 105 per quintal, barley (Rs 30 per quintal), grams (Rs 220 per quintal) and other items’ MSP have also been raised significantly and has taken a big step towards development of farmers. Shahdeo said that Congress had used the farmers as vote banks but Modi government has taken so huge step for their well being and showed a positive approach.
