BJP wants to win elections at any cost: JMM

PNS

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) today alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is using every ways and means to win the election but the people of the State understand their gimmick and the party will be wiped out form the entire State this year.

Addressing a press meet, General Secretary of JMM Supriyo Bhattacharya said on Saturday that JMM supported Grand Alliance will perform better in this election and will all 14 seats of the State.

Mocking at BJP National president Amit Shah, he said that Shah started street meetings because his rallies are not witnessing enough foot-fall. Very few people attended the rally held at Agrico Ground in Jamshedpur. “A large number of star campaigners of BJP are camping in Kolhan region to ensure victory of their candidates but they are not getting support. Chief Minister Raghubar Das is holding numerous meetings but it is benefiting Grand Alliance as people of the region are not listening to him. As Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit on May,15 it will also benefit us and we inviting the PM that he should come on May,19 also,” he added.

Bhattacharya said that the leaders of BJP are talking on water, forest and land but they have plundered the resources and given those to Adani for its power plant. “They are only talking on futile issues. They don’t have guts to talk on issues such as unemployment, issue of displacement and others,” he added.

Bhattacharya asked the PM and the national president of BJP as to what are their preparations to plunder the treasure of Kolhan region. “Three years earlier, the PM had laid foundation stone for the bridge at Ganga River in Sahebganj but the construction work has not started till now they should clear the date of starting of construction work of the bridge,” he added.

Meanwhile, Congress party which is another partner of Grand Alliance alleged on Saturday that the five year of BJP’s rule has done nothing but increased anarchy in the Country.

The former Secretary, State Congress Committee, Jagdish Sahu and the State Congress Rural General Secretary, Jitendra Trpathy said through a press release that the decision of demontisation and hastily implementation of goods and services tax left lakhs of youth unemployed and due to demonetisation a total of 124 persons were died but happened nothing.

Criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for using unparliamentary words for former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi, both the leaders said that when the Supreme Court held that there was no corruption in Bofors Gun deal then after closure of two decades the PM is raising the issue now.

It is clear example of PM’s disappointment and frustration that he is using unwarranted statements, they added.
