Former BJP MP Palamu Braj Mohan Ram is back in Daltonganj where he at his Nawa Toli residence on Sunday evening hosted a liiti-chokha party in which came many old faces of BJP and quite understandably media persons too. Braj Mohan Ram was a 2 time MP of Palamu.
Ram said, “let lok Sabha election come and I am all out to place my claim to contest Palamu seat on the BJP ticket as I have grounds and reasons for this.”Palamu lS seat is a SC seat. “My claim is very strong,’’ he reiterated.
Ram also knows it well that the present incumbent V D Ram has won this seat by more than 2.50 lakhs of votes and he is a sitting MP and a first timer too and replacing V D Ram for old and veteran Braj Mohan Ram will not be an easy task for the party at the State and at centre both.
Ram reiterated that he would now be here till things start shaping here in favour of him. He had appeared here after a gap of years to which Ram said, “ I used to be here around in all these years but never I was out of touch with Daltonganj and Palamu”.
He added further that he is looking after the works of the party in Jharkhand and his being on the panel of SC outfit keeps him busy and doing.
Hardcore supporters of him were seen at this litti chokha party where a few took a dig at the present MP V D Ram while others just maintained a studied silence perhaps to see which way the political wind blows in Palamu when the election comes.
Political observers say Braj Mohan Ram is a ‘‘zameen ka aadmi” and hence he will not find it any hard to revive his connect with people as the present MP V D Ram finds his sailing tough in Bishrampur assembly constituency which is a part of Palamu lok sabha seat following the local MlA and Health Minister Ramchander Chandravanshi’s anathema to V D Ram and his brother in law R K Kishore chief whip of BJP as these two have given many a sleepless nights to Health Minister by exposing the hollowness in health care system in the State and raising accusing fingers at the Health Minister Chandravanshi.
