The State BJP on Thursday stood up behind former Chief Minister Raghubar Das after the State Government decided to lodge a case against the former Chief Minister in connection with graft charges. The State Government a few days back decided to lodge cases against Das under Prevention of Corruption Act.
BJP State president Prakash said JMM is involved in dirty politics and is targeting the former CM without any substantial evidence. He said the matter is four years back during Rajya Sabha election when then Barkagoan MLA Nirmala Devi made a corruption charge against then CM Das.
Prakash said if the BJP wanted then the matter would have settled at time itself, but the party never believes in targeting or suppressing opposition parties.
