BJP should clarify in which direction it wants to take the country: JMM

PNS

JMM General Secretary cum Spokesperson Vinod Kumar Pandey today launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Countering the allegations of the BJP, he said that the BJP should clarify in which direction it wants to take the world's largest democracy. Pandey stressed that it is the responsibility of every party to maintain the basic spirit of the Indian Constitution - democracy, secularism, communism, republicanism, justice, freedom, equality and fraternity - which has been beautifully expressed in the preamble of the Constitution.

Accusing the BJP of spreading religious frenzy, Pandey said that the people of the country have now started understanding how the BJP is trying to divide the society for electoral gains. He said that in view of the upcoming elections in Bihar and Bengal, the BJP is once again trying to fuel its hateful communal politics, but the public has made it clear by voting in favour of the India Alliance in the recently held Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Jharkhand that there is no place for communal politics.

Pandey termed the noise being made by the BJP on the issue of infiltration in Jharkhand as election propaganda. He said that when the BJP government is in power at the Centre for the last ten-eleven years, then the responsibility of the security of the international border also lies with them. Despite this, if incidents of infiltration are taking place, then the Union Home Ministry should answer for it.

Citing the recent Pahalgam incident, Pandey said that instead of fixing responsibility for the security lapse, the BJP is trying to divert the attention of the public by taking the cover of religion. He appealed to the public to understand this conspiracy and remain united to maintain the basic spirit of the Constitution.
