The BJP's Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan is over. It started on May 30 when mercury was on the rise. It ended when the rains came.
BJP sources said the BJP MP Palamu Vishnu Dayal Ram and his team may have succeeded in convincing the BJP high command that the party has no reason to look for any other candidate for Palamu in the coming lok sabha election, the party has to work extra hard to at least retain its 4 assembly seats in Palamu,1 in Garhwa and a fresh start in Latehar where the party is grounded so far MLA is concerned here
BJP sources said the party has its strong show in the Daltonganj constituency while it staggered too hard in the Bishrampur assembly constituency which is forked to Majhiaon segment also which falls in Garhwa district.
It's public knowledge here that the political relation between the Bishrampur BJP MLA Ramchander Chandravanshi and the Palamu MP Vishnu Dayal Ram leaves much to be desired.
The Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan has proved beyond doubt that BJP will have to rebuild itself in the Hussainabad assembly constituency where its poll performance has been very inconsistent and electorally miserable.
Political analysts say if there are gains for the BJP in this Maha Jan Sampark, it's no loss to the opposition parties for one reason.
BJP has a record of keeping its cadres and leaders on their toes always and there are occasions where it is not required while the opposition parties on the other hand keep waiting and watching and then spring to counter or dilute the move of the BJP.
It was at the fag end of the BJP's Maha Jan Sampark that the party floated UCC universal civil code triggering speculations that a bill to this effect is likely to come up in the monsoon session of the lok sabha.
Sources said the BJP will have to again go to the streets and corners for the UCC, a task the party can't find any easier now.
A senior media manager of the BJP Sheo Kumar Mishra said we carried the Maha Jan Sampark in word and spirit and we got positive response to it from the public.
