The belligerent BJP MP from Godda Nishikant Dubey on Monday got relief from Jharkhand High court in a case related to purchase of a land in Deoghar district with alleged fabricated documents.
The court put a stay on the investigation of the case till September 6. Anamika Gautam; wife of the MP is the purchaser of the land.
Senior lawyer RS Majumdar who appeared on behalf of Gautam said that Deoghar district administration is implicating her due to vested political motives.
The land under dispute is located at Elokesi Dham in Deoghar in which an FIR was lodged against Gautam and others under section 420, 406, 467 , 468 471 and 120 (B) of IPC. The district administration also cancelled land registration last year.
She was alleged for purchasing a property at an undervalued rate of Rs three crore in connivance with concerned revenue officials whereas the actual cost of the land was around Rs 20 crore.
Notably, in this case three separate FIRs were lodged by individual complainants namely Vishnukant Jha and Kiran Devi against Gautam and her company Online Entertainment Pvt Ltd. Complainant Jha had alleged that by undervaluing the land price Gautam committed a fraud as the government was denied revenue.
Notably, in March this year Jharkhand High court had quashed both the FIRs after which Deoghar district administration had lodged a fresh FIR in the same matter.
Notably, the BJP MP is at loggerhead with the ruling alliance of Jharkhand from the past year and he alleged that the government is implicating him in false cases.
