Chips are down in the JVM but its leader Babulal Marandi presented a brave face while encountering the media. Addressing press persons a day after four of his party MlAs jettisoned it the first Chief Minister of Jharkhand said, “The BJP has made our task easy. We were going to do this in any way. I congratulate the BJP for that.”
He also mentioned that the party was aware about their leaving the party in advance and had made preparation for that. Thursday’s induction of Satyanarayan Das into party fold is seen a step in that direction.
Marandi also added that the meeting of executive committee would discuss entire scenario in the wake of polls. “We would not plead for anti-defection against the MlAs and would rather go into the court of the people,” he added and denied having any information about some more MlAs on the verge of leaving the party.
