Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and Congress candidate from Patna Sahib parliamentary seat of Bihar, Shatrughan Sinha on Thursday said there was no place left in the BJP for dialogue and its leadership does not value its own veterans. BJP is functioning as ‘one man show and two men army’, he added.

Addressing a press meet in the State capital the 72-year old actor turned politician said that the Grand Old Party had sacrificed many times for the unity and prosperity of India. “Congress is party of late Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Lal Bahadur Shashtri and others. The party has given numerous sacrifices in building nation and there is no question that at present what India is Congress Party is biggest contributor,” he added.

Congress gave Sinha ticket from Patna Sahib parliamentary constituency and he is contesting against Union Law Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Hitting hard on his old party, Sinha said that there was no space remaining for dialogue in the party and top leadership even not paying due respect to veterans like Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Yashwant Sinha, Arun Shourie and others and if one speaks the truth he is termed rebel. “If speaking truth is rebellion then I am rebel,” he added.

Sinha said that the BJP has now been exposed and people can see through its empty promises. Speaking on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sinha, he said that people have understood his hollow promises and he has been exposed. “Demonetization was a mindless decision and several people died and we were told it was normal,” he added.

Speaking on Ram Mandir and article 370, Sinha said at the Centre and in maximum states of the Country there was BJP government but they have not talked on these issues in four years and at the time of election they have started talking on Ram Mandir and Article 370. One can easily understand that they are duping people and trying to deviate attention from burning issues like employment and rising prices of essential commodities, he added.

Sinha also applauded Congress president Rahul Gandhi and said he is a dynamic, tried, tested and successful leader and the face and future of India. Lauding the Congress proposed Nyuntam Aay Yojna (NYAY) scheme, he said the scheme will change the basic economic feature of the country.

Speaking on his Ranchi visit, Sinha said that he visited Ranchi for campaigning of former Union Minister and Congress candidate, Subodhkant Sahay as Sahay is his family friend.
