The State BJP unit appears really excited about the upcoming rally of party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on December 29 in Ranchi and it is expecting more people than it has made arrangements for. State unit in-charge Ramapati Tripathi said on Saturday that the Capital city will be flooded with so many people on rally day that the arrangements made by the party unit may fall short.
Speaking to media persons at BJP State headquarters on Saturday, Tripathi said that the preparations of the State unit of the party was going in such a way that the rally on December 29 would be a historic affair. “The city will be flooded with people from across the State. We presume that the Dhurwa ground selected for the rally will fall short to accommodate people. Although we are augmenting resources and people would be using their own means to travel to Ranchi, we believe that the arrangements may fall short,” said the state unit in-charge adding that the ground’s capacity was around 3 lakh.
On the security arrangements of the rally’s venue Tripathi said that taking lessons from the Patna serial blasts it was the responsibility of national and local security agencies to ensure that they make fool-proof arrangements.
Talking about the State of affairs in Jharkhand, Tripathi said that there were several centres of power in the State. “The Government has disappointed the people of the State. There are serious differences among the coalition partners of the Government and it appears that the only work of gathering illegal funds is going on,” he said.
On the national political scenario, Tripathi said that the citizens of India had already accepted Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of the country. They were just waiting for general elections. “The whole country is witnessing winds of change. The UPA Government has lost its credibility. The security of the nation is in peril, development works have stopped; economy is in a shambles; the leadership has turned feeble. In such conditions, people’s faith in Narendra Modi has increased manifolds,” he said.
“Being the CM of Gujarat Modiji has worked tremendously towards development of his State. It’s not only economic development but he made the State strong in maintaining law and order and made the state a stronger. The country has accepted his leadership. We should just wait for elections to happen,” Trpathi said.
