BJP state president and MP Deepak Prakash has termed Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) action against Ranchi former DC Chhavi Ranjan as corruption at government machinery. Prakash while reacting to ED's action said that action against Ranjan is not an isolated case as there are more government officials who are corrupt. He said that corruption at government offices indicates that the Hemant government has pushed the state into the pit of corruption. Everyday new scams are being exposed. In the action of ED, illegal assets and cash are being recovered from the houses of officers. Prakash said that all these are the result of state-sponsored corruption.
The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday conducted multiple raids in three states including Jharkhand related to IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan in connection with a land scam case. Ranjan, former Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi was transferred from his post after his name surfaced in an Army land scam last year. The ED raid was conducted at around 22 places in Bihar, West Bengal and Jharkhand at the premises of some private persons and government officials.
The persons whose premises were raided in connection with the fraudulent sale of Army land and other plots during the last three years also included several circle officers, circle inspectors, land brokers, Associates of Jagatbandhu Tea estate besides Chhavi Ranjan and his close relative Lovely in Jamshedpur.
He said that all the people who have come in the clutches of ED till now, it seems that the exploits of corruption are not limited only to them, but ED should also keep a close watch on other favorite officials of the state government.
He said that the way the cases of corruption are being exposed, it seems that there is no black in pulses, but the whole pulse of the state government has turned black.
Prakash said that BJP is fighting and agitating against the corruption of the state government from road to house.
He said that when the BJP agitates against the state government in a democratic way, then this government, misusing its police administration, wants to crush them with the help of sticks, bullets and guns.
Prakash said that on April 11, the Hemant government also tried to crush the secretariat gherao program organized by the BJP. It is said that the corrupt inefficient government has been exposed in front of the people of the state. This government is running only with the bundle of failures on its head. The people of the state do not want to see this corrupt useless tribal, Dalit, backward, anti-women, anti-youth appeasement government even for a moment.
