The State BJP unit has asked JMM to clear its stand on the remark of Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon against Government schoolteachers.
Recently, Oraon while speaking at the function punched holes in the school education system stating that teachers of Government schools do not pay attention to teaching students and are better indulged in other activities such as Thikedari (working as contractors).
Targeting the State Government, State BJP president Deepak Prakash said that a senior minister making such remarks makes it clear that the Government is running away from its responsibility. Prakash said, “The Government’s task is to bring improvement in the education system, but it appears that the JMM/Congress Government is running away from its responsibility by leveling such allegations.”
The State BJP president further said, “Education is a State subject. It is the responsibility of the State government to fill vacant posts of teachers and provide the necessary infrastructure to schools to ensure quality education after keeping it away from any type of non-academic work. But the government is running away from its responsibility. Promises made by it before the elections have been thrown into the dustbin.”
The State BJP president, who is also a Rajya Sabha member said that we have all seen the State health infrastructure during the second wave of corona, with people depending more on private hospitals than government run health hubs. He said, “The government wants to send all children to private schools in the same way it sent poor patients to private hospitals during the second wave of the corona pandemic.”
Prakash said State Minister Oraon on the one hand was adamant to relax rules to release grants for Urdu Schools while on the other hand, he is cursing teachers of the Government schools.
Meanwhile, State president of All Jharkhand Primary Teachers Association, Vijendra Choubey said that the teachers of primary and middle schools of the State will put black badge on September 14 protesting the irresponsible remark of Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon towards government schools.
He said that the remark of Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon is shameful. He should be immediately sacked from the post of minister, because he has spoken against his own system.
