PNS

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar graced the Mahilla Sammelan here on Sunday while pitching for liquor ban in the State as well. Flanked by JVM leader Babulal Marandi in the function Nitish Kumar in his 30-minute speech described how prohibition in Bihar has started changing the lives of the commoners.

He said the same whiff of happiness would come here if prohibition was imposed. The Bihar CM conceded that there were people who jeered at him for this imposition of prohibition but with the passage of time things had started looking up in Bihar and added that he too was apprehensive of imposing prohibition. “I had this fear if it failed then what would happen. But once I heard the determined voice of the women of my State I decided to go against liquor and the result is all before you to see now.”

The Mahila Sammelan was organised by a former MlA Sudha Chowdhury. The Mahila Sammelan was all against liquor but Nitish Kumar and Babulal Marandi did not forget to tease the Raghubar Das Government and ‘urged’ the Chief Minister of Jharkhand to impose prohibition in the State. JVM supremo Babulal Marandi said the present dispensation befools simple and innocent tribal.
