With the purpose of presenting the report of his next film venture and to know the details of Jharkhand film policy, renowned film maker Mahesh Bhatt will meet CM, Raghubar Das on June 23 at Project Bhawan. Notably, Bhatt under his banner ‘Vishesh films’ is producing a commercial Hindi movie, ‘Begumjaan’, which is being shot at Dumka under the guidelines of state film policy drafted in December 2015.
“Mahesh Bhatt will meet CM and also give the presentation of his commercial movie, which is presently being shot at Dumka. The movie shooting has already been started from June 18 and involves big star cast like Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin shah, Rajat Kapoor and others. Based on the backdrop of India Pakistan partition, the movie involves the active participation of local artists too,” said, a member of Technical Advisory Committee, Rishi Prakash Mishra.
The ambitious project is being directed by Srijit Mukherjee and will hit the theaters soon nationwide. After the formation of Technical Advisory Committee headed by Bollywood Actor, Anupam Kher and other renowned members of film fraternity from the state, Mahesh Bhatt is the first personality from B-Town to accept the proposal to shoot the big budget commercial movie involving ace actors in Jharkhand.
“As many as 300 local artists from Jharkhand have been involved in the project and will get chance to showcase their skills and will also get opportunity to share screen space with few big names in film industry. Such film proposals are beneficial to tab the possibilities of film making and film production here. We are also consulting other eminent film personalities like Tigmanshu Dhulia for few other endeavors,” Mishra added.
Furthermore, during the visit Bhatt will meet the members of Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and industry (FJCCI) on June 24 to further explore the possibilities of the tribal land in the field of art and culture.
