Vikas Bharti Secretary and Padma Shri recipient Ashok Bhagat said on Friday that the small tribal groups such as the Nagesia Kisan Samaj were struggling for their existence and the Government should pay pay special attention towards their well being. Addressing an annual conference of the tribal society at Dumri block in Gumla district, Bhagt said that these small tribal groups have survived years of oppression and they urgently need to be given their due by the government. Special awareness drives need to be initiated for the groups so that they can get the benefits of the welfare schemes of government, he said. Gumla MlA Shiv Shankar Oraon, head of Nagesia Kisan Samaj Mahesh Kisan jee and General Secretary Kunwar Nagesia alongwith others were present on the occasion.
