A team comprising senior officials of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai and Advanced Technology Vessel Project (ATVP) visited HEC on Saturday. The object of the visiting team was to discuss the status of ongoing Aakansha Project. Earlier, HEC has developed, manufactured and supplied ultra clean steel for Defence and Nuclear Sector. It has also manufactured and supplied Magnet Poles for Super Conducting Cyclotron Magnet for VECC under DAE (Department of Atomic Energy), more than 150 numbers of CNC Machine Tools of higher capacity to VSSC, HAl, BHEl and Ordnance Factories.
HEC has manufactured Turret Casting for T72 Tank, fabricated Hull and Turret for MBT Arjun for the Indian Army. It has also supplied Stern Gear Systems & Rudder Stock Assembly and Propeller Shaft Assembly for Indian Navy. It is also noteworthy that HEC’s contribution to the Strategic Sector has been recognised in the past and it is the recipient of the “Indian Nuclear Society Industrial Excellence Award for the year 2009.”
