Mandar MLA Bandhu Tirkey on Saturday targeted the previous BJP Government and said that the skill development programme of the State Government was a fraud and that should be investigated. He also wrote a letter in this regard to Chief Minister to order a probe by any government agencies.
Tirkey said that in the name of placements through skill development the Government duped unemployed youths of the State, currently thousands of them trapped in lock-down due to the spread of Corona virus in various states.
Hitting hard on previous Government led by BJP, Tirkey said that first of all the Government had assured them that the youths would get Rs 5000 to Rs 7000 honorarium in the other states like Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra sent them there as bondage labourers and during the lockdown their condition is very pitiable. Even they don't have food and money the Company owners are preventing them to their home return and the owners are forcing to work due to which many of them became ill he added.
Tirkey said that 30 to 35 thousand unemployed youths of the State were employed as bonded laborers in the name of employment and registered their names in the "Limca Book" with the help of false figures.
Meanwhile, the Congress Relief Monitoring Committee congratulated the Food Supply Minister Rameshwar Oraon for providing free food, water to thousands of laborers by starting the Dal-Bhat Kendra Scheme for migrant laborers, students and all others on the National Highways.
On the personal expense of Congress General Secretary, Ahmad Patel many migrant laborers reached their home in Giridih from Gujraat.
State Congress Spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey said that this result is due to Oraon's visionary thinking that the poor, helpless laborers were getting water and food. He said that only one train was made available while the Chief Minister made written demands of hundreds of trains to bring back lakhs of workers of Jharkhand and also asked for permission to bring students, laborers from places like Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
