Terming both ruling and Opposition parties as exploiters, involved in loot of tribal land, convener of Adivasi Sengal Abhiyaan (ASA) and former MP Salkhan Murmu gave third option to the people of Jharkhand on the lines of Aam Admi Party in Delhi as a permanent solution to their problems. Addressing a gathering of more than 5000 people coming from various parts of State at Morhabadi in Ranchi during Adivasi Sengal Maharally, Murmu also declared that ASA will contest the coming elections and will also form government in 2019 with its own Chief Minister.

“Jharkhand is suffering for last 16 years due to anti-people policies of both ruling and opposition parties, therefore, I have decided to mobilize the people and the deprived communities along with backward castes and Muslims and put a new option before the State with a target of forming the next government in 2019,” said Murmu. Something must be done, if one wants to bring prosperity to the people of this State, he added.

“ASA will contest elections as it has the support of both society and people of this State,” said Murmu. Keeping his options open for post poll alliance with any party, he further added that government was not run by majority or minority, but it was a matter of political will as being shown by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Bihar, he added.

Revealing his plans to give representation to everyone, Murmu declared that out of 81 seats, 30 seats will be given to the Scheduled Tribes, 10 to Scheduled Cates, 15 to Muslims and rest will be distributed among backward castes.

“If we want some change in the State, we will have to change the system here,” said the Convener of ASA. He said that both BJP and Congress were two sides of the same coin, and were involved in loot of tribal land since Jharkhand has been carved out of Bihar in the year 2000.

“Though the CNT SPT Bill was passed during the regime of Raghubar Das, it was actually prepared during the tenure of Hemant Soren, hence, both are equally responsible for it,” said the National President of ASA. He also blamed them for the large number of government jobs going into the hands of outsiders due to their anti-state policies.

Murmu promised to meet again at Morhabadi Maidaan on March 18 next year during which he will visit every block of all the districts in the State to mobilize the people, before which a review of the ASA will also be done on November 1 in Ranchi.

National President of BAMCEF and BMM Vaman Meshram also the Chief Guest for the Rally, burnt the copy of lang Acquisition Act termed Das as nominated Chief Minister and demanded that the post must be reserved in Jharkhand only for tribals as they have sacrificed their lives for it.

“The Religious Freedom Bill is not applicable to the tribal population as Supreme Court has said that person belonging to Scheduled Caste is not a Hindu,” said Meshram. He also appealed people to burn the copy of land Acquisition Bill at their places so that the Government gets shaken with it.

The rally was also addressed by Spokesperson of All India Muslim Personal Board Sajjad Nomani and former IPS Arun Oraon.
