Traffic congestion due to unauthorised vegetable vendor is a common problem. The vendors of Nagababa Khatal were told to place their stall one- foot away from road by anti-encroachment squad of the Ranchi Municipal Corporation.
The vendors are bound to place their stall on the sludge as they have no place to go and no options but to run their shop for a living. Vegetable vendor at Nagababa Khatal Asha Devi said, “In this rain you can see the place is full of mud and we have to shift our stall on this mud as per the instruction. We are facing difficulty in placing our vegetable more over customers are also facing problem in commuting with us”. Another vegetable vendor Rama Devi said, “It is injustice done to us. In this rain and smug we are asked to shit, we do not create cognition on road they should take other measures to control traffic”.
RMC Public Relation Officer Naresh Sinha said, “This anti encroachment drive is being run to avoid traffic congestion in Ratu Road. Moreover there is a plan to develop this Nagababa Khatal into Scene Park so we had run this drive”.
