Braid cutting episode has reached Palamu also. Understandably Palamu’s Chhaterpur police station has reported one alleged incident of braid cutting. Chhaterpur has its own notoriety where is held Ghost Fair and ghosts are driven for a very high premium. Chhaterpur is notorious for witch hunting and killing too.
According to DSP Chhaterpur Sanjay Kumar the alleged victim woman has been identified as Deokali Devi 65. Her husband is Ganesh Sao who is an agro worker. This woman has her house right across NH 98.
Quoting this woman DSP Sanjay Kumar said ‘ This woman claimed to be fast asleep last night. This morning when she woke up she felt a kind of emptiness. She took her hands on her hair and her braid was allegedly missing. She claimed it was cut. There were some strands of hair on her bed too she claimed’.
DSP further said the woman was sent to community health centre Chhaterpur where the medical people listened to her with patience and gave her some medications to calm down. DSP said she was dangling between depression and shock.
Her case has been entered upon in the station diary. A sub inspector of police Ramayan Singh has been asked to unfold this case added d DSP.
