In a unique initiative by the AJSU party for empowering the women of the state, ‘Women panchayat’ was organised for women at Morhabadi in Ranchi on Sunday. It was not only proved to be an eye-opening experience for women for the rural Jharkhand, but it also opened avenues for a large number of women to get into politics at the local and State level.
The unique initiative of the party also provided a bigger platform for the women who always played their innings behind the doors, to come forward and know about their rights and prospects of their development and help in the development of state also.
The entire members of Mahila Samiti of Jharkhand along with their family members also participated in this rally. “The basic aim of this rally is to inject awareness among the women behind the door,” said AJSU spokesperson Deosharan Bhagat. He further added that Jharkhand cannot develop without the development of women hence; this initiative is taken by their party.
The Women coming from all over the state showed their keen interest towards their development. Women of all age group, caste and creed showed active participation in the rally.
In this rally their mandal got knowledge on how to secure themselves from crime and how important it is to educate themselves so the they can get proper place in the society which is their official right” said chairperson of Chand Mahila Mandal in Rajrappa Umawati Devi.
Woman of today want a better life for themselves, this was clearly witnessed with crowd participation in this rally.
“This platform will definitely help in upgrading the status of women in the society, they will also come to know about the political awareness and reservation of women in the panchayats and state elections , it will collectively provide them knowledge about women empowerment on wider range” said District chairperson of women cell Suchita Singh.
