This Swami Ji had a thick tuft of a beard for 25 years as he had waited for removal of Article 370 and 35 (A) of the Constitution, which gave Jammu and Kashmir special status. Waiting for 25 years, Swami Satya Krishna Maharaaj on Monday (August 12) shaved his beard, celebrating the scrapping of Article 370 and Article 35 (A) of Indian Constitution.
The Swami Satya Krishna Maharaaj of Sri Krishnanidhi Anand Ashram, Bokaro had taken a pledge when he was 20-years-old that he will shaves off beard only when Indian Government abolished the two laws which gave northern State (Kashmir) separate flag, separate Constitution and delinking Kashmir from rest parts of Country.
The jubilant Swami Satya Krishna Maharaaj talking to The Pioneer said, “When I was 20 year old, I decided to grow my bread protesting against Article 370 and 35 (A) which gave Kashmir a special status. I am happy and grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah who had shown the courage in abolishing the controversial laws for which the people of this country waited for 72 years.” Swamiji, is well known in power corridors in Centre and State having good relationship with Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Defense Minister Rajnanth Singh and several senior BJP leaders both in Centre and State.
For past 25 years Swamiji through his religious sermons has been equally promoting nationalism.
Due to religious sermons having nationalism tone he is well known face among top RSS leadership too.
Swamiji said, “With the demand to remove Article 370 and Article 35(A), I had moved across the Country. While moving nook and corner across the Country, people asked me the reason behind growing beard.
My answer was it is way of protesting Article 370 and 35 (A).”
His silent protest for scrapping the two ‘draconian’ laws was so strict that he not even shaved his beard when his grandmother and aunt passed away.
Swamiji said, “As per Hindu tradition it is customary ritual to shave beard and hair when any close family member passes away.
When my grandmother and aunt passed away, the family members and relatives forced me for shaving beard, but I resisted saying that I will shave my beard only when Government scarps Article 370 and 35 (A).With the scrapping Article 370 and 35 (A), Kashmir in true sense has become an integral part of India and the kudos goes to Modiji and Amit Shah Ji.” Swamiji along with Uttar Pradesh Narvnirman Sena president Amit Jani will visit Kashmir after August 15, expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
Forty-five years old, Satyakrishna when he was 20-year-old decided to leave worldly pleasure becoming a monk and since then he is living the life of a saint. Swamiji, who is pure vegetarian every morning drinks gaumutra (Cow urine) as he claims the urine contains special hormones and minerals.
The Swami claimed that cow urine is natural anti-septic, anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-allergic and it is called Sanjeevani.
