The administration is trying to fill up the gap of doctors with the DMFT fund, so that everyone can get medical facilities from the hospital. Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribag Nancy Sahay along with DDC Prerna Dixit inspected different wards of SBMCH and issued directions to the superintendent of hospital.

The Deputy Commissioner made a sudden visit to the campus of the SBMCH (Sheikh Bikhari Medical College and Hospital) and started the inspection of different wards of the hospital. She asked for the duty roster of the doctors and checked that the doctors are available on duty according to the duty roster.

She found that there were so many doctors, who were not available on duty. She instructed the superintendent of the hospital to ask the doctors why they are not available on duty. The DC inspected the medicine ward, OPD, skin ward, EN&T ward, Pathology, dental, blood bank, new burn care unit and children wards.

She directed the superintendent of the hospital to prepare the list of equipment, which are useful in the general treatment of the patients. She further said that the district administration is always ready to render every service for better treatment of patients.

The DC further said that the administration is trying to fill the gap of doctors from DMFT (District Mineral Foundation Trust) fund. The first list of doctors has been published.

She further said that the hospital management should concentrate on the children's ward. She said that maximum child patients are coming from remote village areas, so they must be cared for on priority basis.

She advised that the hospital management must provide special training to the nurses, who are working in the children’s ward. She also emphasised on the security of the ward. Two or three security guards must be there in the wards.
