Action likely on Lobin Hembrom and Sita Soren

PNS

Fed up with the undisciplined behaviour of MLAs Sita Soren and Lobin Hembrom, the JMM is slowly distancing itself from these leaders who may be axed very soon for causing inconvenience for the party.

While senior party leader Stephen Marandi at a press conference on Saturday demanded actions against them, the JMM has instructed all its party workers to maintain distance from both leaders and their activity. In a fresh development, Borio MLA Lobin Hembrom organized Janakrosh rally at his constituency to demand legalization of the 1932 land record as the basis of the domicile of Jharkhand. Lobin Hembrom is at loggerhead with the Hemant Soren government who however has declined to accept ever growing demand of 1932 as cut-off date for domicile. Thousands attended the rally organized at the Shibu Soren College ground. Earlier, the rally was scheduled at the Borio block ground. But Sahebganj district administration denied permission. Family members of Sido Kanho were also present during the programme. Lobin Hembrom said that they would not allow anybody to compromise the identity of tribals of Jharkhand. His supporters said that they would resign from the JMM if any action is taken against Lobin Hembrom.

Local JMM leaders and workers stayed away from the programme as they were instructed by the leadership not to attend any of the programme organized by Lobin Hembrom. The part is of the view that Lobin Hembrom and Sita Soren are deliberately speaking against the government and the party in order to defame. The party said that the rally was not a programme of the JMM hence no question of participation of JMM workers arises. The JMM is set to organize a programme in Hazaribagh for which preparations have been made.

Party patriarch Shibu Soren is also unhappy with them for their anti-party activities. Some JMM MLAs complained about them and said that they were trying to destabilize the government.

The issue of domicile is going to hot up in the coming days as a mega rally has been planned at Ghatshila on April 15. The rally is set to be attended by former MP Shailendra Mahto, Suraj Singh Besra, Jairam Mahto, former MLAs Seema Mahto, Amit Mahto and Gitashree Oraon. Seema Mahto and Amit Mahto resigned from the JMM on the issue of domicile policy.
