Acting Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab on Thursday reviewed the necessary preparedness for the smooth and peaceful conduct of Gurdaspur parliamentary by-election through video conferencing.
Manjeet Singh Narang, Acting Chief electoral officer Punjab, Manpreet Singh Chhatwal Additional CEO, VK Bhawra, DGP (Police Nodal Officer for election) and Jatinder Singh Aulakh, Inspector General were also present in this video conferencing with Deputy commissioners of Gurdaspur & Pathankot and Senior superintendent of Police of Gurdaspur, Pathankot and Batala.
A Spokesman said during the video conferencing all details were discussed like deployment of officials, Election Expenditure Monitoring Teams, Video Surveillance Teams, Accounting Teams, Video Viewing Teams, Media Certification and Monitoring Committee, Flying Squads, Statistical Surveillance Team and Electronic & Print Media Monitoring Cell, etc.
