A silent change sweeps across Burha Pahar : IG

PNS

A silent whiff of change is sweeping across the Burha Pahar. What no NGO offered to do here, it is the men in uniform doing it. They are teaching children of lesser gods here.

They give them food of their own as here on this huge and long Burha Pahar which originating from Latehar and passing through Garhwa has its tail end in Chhattisgarh, there is no government primary school on the Burha Pahar falling under the Jharkhand limits and so there is no question about MDM here.

It's the security forces here that offer them food. IG of police Palamu range R K Lakra said "See the big hearts of our boys and officers who give their own share of diet for the children. Our men teach them."

The security forces are very cordial with the kids. The kids too.

SP Garhwa Deepak Pandey said "The children who come here from even Chhatisgarh Pundaag's on the Burha Pahar in Jharkhand limits for a pre schooling where our boys help them learn alphabet in Hindi and English besides 1,2,3 counting are very attached to the jawans and officials."

57 students are in this pre-school on the Burha Pahar. It's no kindergarten but a calm place for the kids. Outdoor sports is still a luxury here as at no stage of time and at no stage of vigil there is any scope for being any complacent.

On Thursday the IG of police Palamu range R K Lakra and SP Garhwa Deepak Pandey reached Jhalo Dera on the Burha Pahar. Here besides interaction and interfacing with the security personnel there, the IG and the SP Garhwa spent lovely time with the children, said sources.

There were toffees for the kids and no kids showed any greed for it as they took one or two toffees that came in their little  palms.

SP Garhwa went on to say "Cosmetic change is appearing here in and around the Burha Pahar. We want to further strengthen it."

On the other hand, the IG said "We have 100 plus security personnel here. They need milk which they buy from the locals. Green vegetables are bought in kilos. All these selling by the locals aggrandize their economy."
