The 98-year-old ADl Society will shift to Kadma after two years, the ground breaking ceremony for which was performed today. The deadline given by Tata Steel is two years for the final relocation of the school from Sakchi to Kadma to happen. The ADl Society will be celebrating the centenary year in 2017 also. Hence the shifting will happen in a very important year.

Schools and colleges which are close to the company will soon get re-located to other places in the city as a part of the company's expansion plan. While Kerala Samajam Model School has already allotted its land, the ADl Society has been given an area of 2.78 acres at the Gwalpara School area in Kadma.

The chief guest for the ground breaking ceremony was Sunil Bhaskaran, vice-president, corporate services, Tata Steel while the guest of honour were R. Ravi Prasad, president, Tata Worker's Union and B.K. Dinda, secretary, Tata Worker's Union. They unveiled the foundation stone and the new layout design of the school.

“We are ready to cooperate with the company and are extremely that Tata Steel has given us a vast land which will play a important role for the growth of the school. The existing campus is one acre while now it will be 2.78 acre," said V. Shankar Rao, secretary, ADl Society.

The new campus will have a G+2 building with 30 advance classrooms as compared to the existing one. Moreover, there will be basketball court, a playground and a well decorated garden. An auditorium is also in the plan.
