Despite a robust recovery rate, the rise in COVID-19 cases continued unabated in Bokaro district, with 75 new cases and one fatality reported on Friday. Meanwhile, 217 people were recovered and discharged from COVID hospitals after they tested negative for the Sars-Cov-2 virus for the second time and sent back to their home after recovering fully, informed AK Pathak Civil Surgeon Bokaro.
District administration provided medical kits and infection-free certificates to the patients who were discharged and they were instructed to stay in their homes for 14 days in quarantine.
All the new patients who were tested positive for COVID-19 were transferred to COVID Hospital and their contact tracing is being performed, said Pathak. “The total number of active cases rushed to 573 in the District. “Total death toll in the district reached16,” he added.
According to figures released by district administration around 77 thousand samples have been collected so far in the district, reported 2520 COVID-19 positive, while the investigation reports of approximately 42 thousand samples are still awaited.
All total 1810 were recovered in the district.
